Background
121 Finance was established in April 2000 by the two founders and working directors. With ten years experience in the finance industry the two founders who are just average born and bred kiwis saw that there was a place in the financial market for a company to offer finance to the average kiwi punter who couldn't be bothered mucking around with intimidating financial institutions and the corporate structure that goes with it or perhaps couldn't qualify for a bank loan or maybe just didn't have the time during working hours get there.
We knew through some close friends and associates that experience of getting turned down from the bank left a sour taste in your mouth and resistance to return thereand then to top it off, not knowing where to go next. We thought there must be a middle ground and set about forming a company to achieve just that, to offer an informal, relaxed, non-intimidating process for loaning money to buy a car or loaning on house for whatever the reason says director Carol Lowther. So with this in mind 121 Finance was formed.
And that's where 121 Finance breaks the mould and tradition for Finance Companies. The people who are employed here don't necessarily have a finance background, in fact the majority are from normal working backgrounds but have excellent life experience. The finance part is the secondary part of our equation, we feel it's more important to be able to talk to someone about their situation, rather than put an X in a box and decline the loan. This approach seems to work well because the majority of our customers refer other people and come back for a top up loan. 121 Finance has made the process of applying easy as applications can be done in private over the phone or online. Once approved, a mobile representative can visit customers in the comfort of their home, workplace or wherever suitable.
What we do
We are financing specialists who cater to all people for all financing requirements. At 121 Finance the only thing we don't believe in is that ''normal lending criteria applies" because it doesn't matter what your financial situation or history, we process each application on its individual merits. 121 Finance Ltd are experts at tailoring finance to meet the individual needs of our clients, and having a varied lender base to draw from, gives us the flexibility to arrange finance for clients who would not normally meet the usual lending criteria applied through other finance companies.
